On May 5, 2017 the Marion Illinois record label WordSmith Records announces their new contest. The contest is for music talent groups, solo artists or bands to get a shot at a WordSmith Records recording contract for 2017, we want talent!! The contest is projected to start in the month of November, 2017 but the date may be sooner.
The music recording contest known as The Battle for WordSmith will consist of three rounds. The first two rounds will have two winners chosen from each competition. Those four winners will then compete in the final contest where one winner will be chosen for the recording contract prize.
The Battle for WordSmith is open to all music genres and it will take place in Southern Illinois.
“This is a great opportunity for any artist” says WordSmith Records Director James Smith IV. If you want your shot at a record deal in 2017, this may be your ticket.
WordSmith Records will be running sound and providing the PA for the music contest, all the bands need is their basic instrument set up and amps.
Music acts can make their 2017 submissions on the form at the contact page located at the bottom of www.wordsmithrecords.com or can submit on the form below.
Once chosen, WordSmith Records will give you your date, time and performance location. Winners will be chosen at the end of the night on the performance date. Winners are chosen based on showmanship, originality and crowd responses.
